San Francisco Board of Supervisors: Recall Them All!
First Supervisor Jake McGoldrick and now Supervisor Aaron Peskin. It seems both have been targeted for recall efforts by San Franciscans who are fed up with their anti-business, anti-private property, pseudo-Socialist policies. The kind of policies that have caused San Francisco to become one of the most expensive cities to live in the country, families and businesses to flee in droves, nice neighborhoods to go to pot (pun intended), crime to skyrocket, and bums, er, homeless to keep pouring in for the handouts and lenient enforcement.
As I've written in the past, there are few too many members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors (11 compared to 9 in Los Angeles County, which has a much higher population), each one of them elected by a miniscule number of voters in their districts (beware of district elections!), with far too much time on their hands to come up with financially disastrous, nanny state, anti-military, social engineering policies aimed only at pushing a leftist political agenda. The latest of which being Supervisor Chris Daly's effort to get rid of the annual Fleet Week Blue Angels airshow at the behest of "local peace advocacy groups."
As far as I'm concerned, we should recall them all!

On the other side, they're after Ed Jew, too.
I think it's time to start over.
San Francisco is one messed up city. Talk about a freak show. Is something wrong with the water there ?

Why are boomers so myopic? The Disney Voodoo is strong in this bunch. SF will be a great city when the boomers can't vote anymore.
I lived in SF for 3 wonderful years, and was sad to leave. A few months ago I returned after a decade and was very distressed at what I saw. No doubt, it had slipped backward. Not only were the troubled neighborhoods worse, they had expanded their boundaries. Maybe it's nostalgic on my part, but I don't remember often feeling unsafe when I lived there. On my recent trip, I felt unsafe much of the time.
Now, I watch the little dictators in my new hometown, Boston, attempt to follow San Francisco's example. It's a shame.
I lived in the Outer Richmond district for 10 years and left the bay area in 1996. I just couldnt take it anymore. Every morning I watched the homeless come out of Golden Gate park, urinate on my neighbors yards, and then get a beer at the grocery store.
Everyday I miss the fog and crisp clear air out by the ocean. It is a shame to see what these Socialists have done to the most beautiful city in America.
Well, jd, being after someone who is a crook is what you right-wingers want isn't it? Or is it okay for conservatives to commit crimes but not liberals? It will be interesting to see what happens to Scooter Libby - I'm sure he'll be pardoned for crimes. Now if he were a liberal, you would be calling for the death penalty.
San Francisco - oops Babylon West, home of the party line. Beautiful city with a lot of wackos. Such a pity too. They might piss on my lawn, but my dog would take care of that business !
